Who's That
Girl?
Samara Leigh is a freelance writer who has long
been entranced by the power of the written and
spoken word. From the moment she
discovered her ability to mesmerize her audience
with just a few words strung together in a
sentence - albeit barely intelligible and
punctuated with missile-like bits of slob at the
tender age of two she was hooked.
By the time she was ten she was completely
enamored with the written word and the power of
well-told stories. Her early writing
heroines included Judy Blume, Paula Danziger,
Louisa May Alcott, Jane Austen, and Erma Bombeck.
Samara's friends, family and teachers also
discovered, much to their delight, that there
was great power in the written word. The
ability to silence a loquacious young lady with
a love for lively literature. By junior
high shed penned several short stories and two
novels.
Her childhood dream was to become a writer.
Her adult reality was far different. In
retrospect, she now realizes that the past
twenty years of observations, experiences, joys
and disappointments have provided her with the
inspiration that will fuel a lifetime of
stories.
Samara is particularly passionate about stories
of women on a journey of self-discovery.
This theme is often reflected in both her
fiction and non-fiction writing. She is a
regular contributor to a variety of online and
print magazines and is currently working on a
novel.
A native of The Cleve (refer to her favorite
30 Rock episode for clarification)
Samara still works and lives in Northeast Ohio.
Mainly because she likes to gloat over the
copious amounts of fresh water; the vibrant arts
and cultural scene and one of the most amazing
symphonies in the world. She lives with
her handsome husband who loves Aldo shoes
- almost as much as he loves her and her
hyper-focused teen-age son a mini record mogul
in training.
